Welcome to our consulting services application process! We view this service as an extension of our farmer-to-farmer network. We know that creating landscape level change in agriculture is a farmer-by-farmer, acre-by-acre process. All of our consulting staff are farmers themselves and practitioners in their fields of expertise. Please fill out the application below to initiate a request for SFA's consulting services. All responses and conversations are held in full confidentiality. We will review your answers and one of our consultants will schedule a free phone/Zoom consultation to discuss your farm further and determine the best course of action, whether that is a follow-up meeting, further research or education, or a farm visit. (Completing this form doesn’t guarantee a farm visit).

How it works

If a farm visit is deemed appropriate, your request will be sent to an SFA consultant and they will schedule a visit to your farm. Donations to SFA to cover the cost of these services is appreciated.

We realize that not all the questions will apply to every farm, especially those who are just starting out. Do your best to answer (or think through every question if you don’t have an answer) as it will enable our consultants to more fully understand your context and be able to provide options and identify opportunities.
