Returning Livestock to the Land...in Minneapolis!

06/29/2022 03:00 PM - 04:30 PM CT

Description

Join the Ecological Service Livestock Network at Theodore Wirth Park for this event! Diversity Landworks and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board are restoring ecological health to neglected, graze-obligate lands with livestock! Come see how it is done!

Kyle Johnson, Diversity Landworks, will show us how goats are used to great effect to control invasives and restore ecological functionality.

James Schaffer, Mpls. Park and Recreation Board, will discuss how incorporating livestock fits with the Park's management goals.

This event is free to attend. Registration requested, walkups welcome.

Address: 1 Theodore Wirth Parkway Minneapolis, MN 55405

SFA staff and volunteers occasionally take photos during our workshops, cafe chats and field days for promotional purposes and to use as documentation of events to share with our funders.  If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our event host know -- we'll make every effort to make sure you are not photographed.
