Minnesota Specialty Crop and Livestock farmers can apply for up to $7,500 per farm (sole proprietor) for expenses due to the 2021 drought as part of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's Drought Relief Program. Do you or someone you know qualify? Get ready now to apply as soon as the application is available!

Applications will likely open June 21 and be open for approximately 10 business days. This pair of webinars will help you prepare to apply. They will focus on specialty crops, but much of the information is the same for livestock producers and they are also welcome to attend. Language translation will be provided for some languages, including Hmong, Spanish, Somali, and Swahili.

This webinar will cover preparations farmers should make right away in order to be ready to apply as soon as the application period opens. This half-hour webinar will cover the kinds of expenses the drought relief will cover, the kinds of records farmers should assemble and save, and show how to fill out a W-9 form as a sole proprietor.
