Indigenous Sustainability Walk

06/11/2022

Description

Carson Law, Recreation Specialist for Wright County Parks and Recreation, will guide a tour in Collinwood Regional Park, sharing about how indigenous people used local natural resources and how we can do the same. Carson has earned her bachelor's degree in Indigenous Sustainability from Bemidji State University, and is currently working on a master's degree in Natural Science and Environmental Education at Hamline University.

You may sign up for one of two tours:
Tour 1: 9:00 -10:15 a.m.
Tour 2: 10:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Advance Registration is Required. $5 admission.
No Walkups, please. Mosquitoes! The trail we'll be taking is very buggy at this time of year, so be prepared for that.

This event is hosted in partnership between the SFA Crow River Chapter and the Dassel/Cokato Sustainable Living Group.

SFA staff and volunteers occasionally take photos during our workshops, cafe chats and field days for promotional purposes and to use as documentation of events to share with our funders.  If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our event host know -- we'll make every effort to make sure you are not photographed.
