Café Chat: Silvopasture Opportunities in Northern MN

Do you graze woodlots and would like to increase your forage production?  Interested in learning about opportunities where targeted grazing can be beneficial to wooded settings?  Come learn about silvopasture and the role it could play on private lands. Local farmers and SFA staff will discuss the basics of silvopasture, opportunities in aspen stands, old pine plantations, and some hardwood stands. See some real world examples of silvopasture implementation in Minnesota.  We’ll also discuss a bit about biochar and a pilot demonstration project at Carlton County SWCD.
